The mining of coal contributed to the local economies in the Upper Cumberland Region of Tennessee for many years. The Wilder Davidson collection contains audiotapes of oral histories, videos, photographs, and documents relating to the area and to the violent coal strike at Wilder and Davidson in Fentress, Overton, and Putnam Counties in 1932 and 1933. This is a small sample from that collection. If you would like to see more please contact Volpe Library Archives at Tennessee Technological University for information (931-372-3537).
